Game Overview
Farming Simulator 17, or FS 17, is a simulation, strategy, multiplayer, and open-world game developed by Giants Software and published by Focus Home Interactive in October 2016. As before, you are waiting for a completely open world with a vast territory. Your main task is to develop your farm. Grow crops, raise livestock, or even cut and sell timber.
To fulfill your farming tasks, you will have the opportunity to buy hundreds of different machines. You can buy the most modern models from the most famous manufacturers. It’s not just a farm simulator, but a whole farming life, in which only an experienced manager can achieve success.
Gameplay
The game gives you complete freedom to dispose of your farm based on the type of plants you will plant. When you plant them or even the kind of animals that you will raise, and also leaves you the decision to dispose of the products of your farm if you will sell it raw or manufacture it, and if you are a good follower of the prices in the market, you can sell your farm products at an appropriate time and place to sell them at the highest price.
The game applied the simulation method in many ways and covered these aspects well. Still, it lacks many practical things, such as events for the story or even the presence of characters you can talk to. There are no people in the game other than artificial intelligence for workers you can hire. They have only one job: to drive tractors inside your agricultural land to perform a specific job required of them. You cannot conduct dialogues with them.
Also, you cannot change the shape of your farm because you will not have the ability to increase the agricultural area or build new buildings. Still, you can buy more farm equipment and land from neighboring places on the map to expand the location of your farm. You can hire workers to work on these lands, or you can personally work on other farms for a fee, and this will be good for you, especially at the beginning of the game while waiting for the crop to grow in your farmland.
