INCISION may interest those who are nostalgic for 90’s shooters. This is a fast-paced arcade first-person shooter. It contains blood and flesh. Its low-polygon, low-resolution graphics are stylized to look like early 3D from old PC video games. At the beginning, the user has 4 levels of difficulty to choose from. Play as a warrior trying to stop The Growth. It’s the name of an ever-growing mass of flesh and machines. A large mysterious creature created this unholy symbiosis and consumed all life on the planet. The protagonist fights against the creature’s spawns, such as mechanical spider priests, insane toadlicks, augmented soldiers. Other monsters will appear as you advance.

INCISION mimics the very first games in the Quake and Doom series. The arsenal has 8 types of weapons. Spear saw, revolver, shotgun, rocket launcher, large caliber machine gun and other weapons are available. Each weapon has an alternate fire mode. For example: A shotgun can not only fire buckshot, but also fire incendiary bombs that ricochet off walls. As usual in old-school FPS, you don’t need to reload your guns here. Ammo falls from killed enemies and just rolls around the map. You will also find additional lives and injections that restore HP in the levels. Exploration of locations and battles with enemies are accompanied by dark music by the two artists Frédérick Chicoine, who works under the pseudonym iNi, and JM.
