Demon Heart: Hunter continues the storyline of the previous game in the series and is in no way inferior to its predecessor. The game’s protagonist, a girl named Bright, continues her journey and depending on the choices made in the previous game, the companions next to her may change. If you haven’t played the first part yet, important decisions are made in a special section at the very beginning.

Unlike the first game, which was more like visual novels, this game has a much more pronounced RPG component. The system itself is very simple, but effective – the level increases, characteristics improve, and new special abilities are acquired. In addition, as the game progresses, it becomes possible to acquire excellent equipment. Graphically, the game is very similar to the style of classic party RPGs like Baldur’s Gate and looks very good. But the main differentiator of the game are dialogues and decisions.

Each character has their own character, their own worldview, and they very often don’t match because of that. And it’s nice to see that. The characters themselves are well designed and each is morally neutral. Even those of them who go too far with drama or vice versa, scold every drunk shoemaker, still evoke sympathy.

Speaking of sympathy, the romantic component is also well developed in this game. The choice of characters for the love line is quite extensive and allows you to learn a lot more about their history, motivations and character. And the main character is also more complicated than it seems. Depending on the player’s choices in the last game or when making choices at the very beginning, Bright’s character will also change. All characters react accordingly to different traits of their character.

This gives the game a high replay value, since almost every decision can and will lead to different results. And the rich and well-developed plot only adds to this, because after a couple of hours of gameplay it suddenly turns out that not only the locations become darker and more hellish, but also the proposed decisions are much more difficult.
