A girl is on Liberty Island when a villain named Krang comes into the picture, stealing the Statue of Liberty through unknown technical means. A chase by the Foot Clan begins, in which antagonist Shredder kidnaps the turtles into a strange past and causes them to switch back and forth between different eras.
