The World After takes players to France where they must take control of a guy named Vincent. The hero is busy writing his own book and dreams of becoming a real writer. One day the protagonist is confronted with mysterious events that he had nightmares about. Strange visions force the young man to explore an ancient fortress, where he gains the ability to change the time of day from day to night. While exploring the castle, the protagonist is pursued by a creature called the night watchman.

Users in The World After will watch a young boy make his way through the gates of Tannhauser to find out the truth about the mysterious monster. The game is a cinematic point-and-click quest that gives users the ability to steer the plot development in the desired direction. You have to search for various interactive items and objects in locations to solve puzzles and make decisions for the hero that affect the story.
