Shadow Madness is an adventure role-playing game set in the fictional world of Arkos. The kingdom is thrown into chaos when people begin dying from a plague known as Shadow Madness. He kills the locals instantly, turning them into bloodthirsty monsters. The protagonist embarks on a journey in which he must defy fate and become humanity’s last hope. He is later joined by partners.

You can fight melee, ranged, and with magic. In Shadow Madness there are three different types of spells that affect combat tactics. A total of 6 unique characters are available with their own individual abilities. Depending on which character you choose, the battle tactics will change. The main campaign lasts about 48 hours real time. During the journey you will have to explore many different biomes.

The combat system is presented in turn-based style. Combat is inspired by classic JRPGs like Final Fantasy. Traveling around the world, the protagonist meets different characters. You can accept fascinating quests from some NPCs. Certain characters join the protagonist to form a team. All secondary heroes have a different fighting style and are presented with unique abilities. Individual attack chains can be created by combining the abilities of the units. A large number of side activities and mini-games are available.
