SENSEs: Midnight is a third-person survival horror game. The project is characterized by its anime style and cyberpunk setting. Events unfold in Tokyo of the future. Uesugi Kaho is said to be controlled by. That’s the name of the student who came to Japan to visit her family. A girl fascinated by the occult and paranormal. When she learns about an urban legend about vengeful spirits (from real life, by the way) in old Ikebukuro Park, she goes there to check the rumors. A young woman wants to find the mythical Midnight Door in a deserted area. She has to explore dark places, find and use objects, solve puzzles, run and hide from monsters.

SENSEs: Midnight is a sequel to Sense: A Cyberpunk Ghost Story. Both projects are inspired by classics of the survival horror genre like the early parts of the Resident Evil series. The sequel features old-school gameplay, including “tank” controls, fixed camera, backtracking, limited inventory, and manual saves to strictly designated locations. The sequel differs from the first part with fully three-dimensional anime-style graphics. The design has changed noticeably as a result. The video game is also shorter than its predecessor. A playthrough takes an average of 2-3 hours. The Ferryman is an atmospheric adventure that will be released after the end of the New Game Plus campaign.
