Santo Island Incident’s gameplay is based around exploring the area and solving various spatial puzzles. After the disaster, the continent’s vegetation has greatly increased to anomalous levels. You have to move around the island in the first person perspective. You can interact with different objects in locations. The hero has a special scanner that allows him to examine plants. He collects a huge amount of information about them, which must be used to solve this or that puzzle.

With the scanner you can listen to the plants. They emit a special echo. Clues from the environment point the way through the plot. Using hints and clues, players must piece together the pieces of the story. Deadly threats are in place, making it possible to take up arms. Some dangers are worth avoiding, but sometimes it’s wise to engage in combat to clear your way. There are not many enemies, but each of them poses a serious threat. You need to be constantly on guard and immediately assess the situation. You must spontaneously decide what to do: fight or flee.
