Rexuiz is a dynamic shooter that is a hybrid of classic action games like Quake and Unreal. The basic mechanics fully replicates these games and brings in some modern game design elements. Single player campaign and the ability to compete against other players is available. Located in a world of tomorrow. The locations feature post-apocalyptic interiors and various futuristic buildings.

The weapon arsenal consists of 9 cannons. Each weapon has both a primary and a secondary fire mode. All types of weapons have their unique characteristics and functions, so you can find your own individual style of play. Levels are represented by verticality. You can jump on platforms, move using teleporters, etc. The modes are represented by a story campaign and competitions like Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Freeze Tag, Clan Arena, etc. There are both single player and team battles.
