OMEGA: The Beginning – Episode 1 looks like a construction site sandbox. But it’s actually an action game. Its visual style combines conventional and voxel graphics. This is the first episode of the game, which is a kind of prologue. It takes about an hour and a half to two hours to finish. Therefore, in this introductory part, the global story ends with the plot for the sequel.

OMEGA: The Beginning – Episode 1 tells the story of a young man named Scott. He is looking for his childhood best friend, Teni. That is what this episodic story is dedicated to. One day a man was in a car accident and lost his leg. The accident changed him forever, inside and out. This is the man the protagonist is trying to find. The narrative is revealed with engine cutscenes. The indie project has a mystical and dark atmosphere. But the story contains jokes and references to iconic quests from the end of the last century.

Gameplay is based on exploring locations and solving puzzles. The complexity of the puzzles is low here. The hero is controlled by keyboard and mouse. You cannot control the camera. It automatically changes its perspective when the character moves somewhere. The protagonist can interact with the environment. He comments on his actions and gives descriptions of objects. All of this is presented in text form. You can also communicate with nephews. A selection of lines appears during dialogue scenes.
