But unlike most members of the VN genre, it’s not stylized into the usual anime drawings. In a video game, you mostly have to read monologues, dialogues and text descriptions. The user is allowed to select lines during conversations, click on objects to get data about them and use items during conversations. The detective story has multiple endings. Some of them contain clues that will help you find the true ending. Death does not mean the end of the game here. The protagonist has the ability to rewrite history.

The plot twist in Occult Rewrite is as follows. The protagonist goes on a field trip with a teacher, who everyone calls Miss Hada, and three classmates. They include fellow otaku Arthur and two girls, Solar and Aurora. They all end up on a strange island with a spooky mansion. In a remote area, the hero and his acquaintances meet two other people stranded there: Leon and the occult girl Alma. After a series of strange events, the main character takes a leap into the not too distant past and preserves all of her memories. He must use this chance to free everyone from the trap and time warp himself.
