Jonathan Kane: The Protector – a game in the genres Action, FPS. We’d like to warn you right away that it’s pretty average, but it will still be able to hold your attention for a short time.

The game’s plot begins with the murder of a professor who has information about an ancient treasure. A terrorist organization searching for an artifact may be threatening the deceased professor’s family, prompting his lawyer to turn to the protagonist for help.

The player plays as a former Special Forces soldier hired to protect Jennifer, the daughter of a murdered archeology professor. Our hero goes in search of her to the archaeological museum, where he meets terrorists who are waiting for her, that’s where the main game begins.

For most of the game we’ll have to skirmish with armed enemies that aren’t particularly smart, so they don’t pose much of a threat. Several types of weapons are available to you, suitable for specific game situations. Using cover puts the player in a third-person view where you can aim fire at the enemy.

The game also has missions in which we have to control Jennifer. She prefers a stealthy style as she has no combat skills but carries a stun gun with her.

Jonathan Kane: The Protector is a regular FPS shooter in which the player gets to shoot masses of enemies in linear levels. The plot does not differ in its thoughtfulness and deep meaning. But still the game can captivate with its dynamic shooting range, maybe in a couple of days you will even have time to go through a short plot and you will not get bored.
