HoloSprint – This is a small arcade racing game with unusual controls. You need a webcam to play. It reads user movements and allows you to control your car with gestures. But you can’t control cars with keyboard, mouse or gamepad. You can select few options with them.

To make a car turn in HoloSprint, put your hands forward as if they were on the wheel and start moving them. You also have to use gestures to speed up, slow down or reverse. In order for it to work, the camera needs to see the user’s head, shoulders, and arms. While driving, a semi-transparent wheel will appear in the center of the screen to control the movement of the wheelbarrow.

There is little content in this short indi project. It’s more of a technodrama than a full-fledged video game. In the main menu you can only choose the type of control – standard or advanced. There is only one car and one lane available. There is only a race against time. The journey around the route takes one and a half to two minutes. It is possible to beat the record set by the developers. The road goes through mountains, coast and tunnels under a single electronic track. No traffic or rivals. You cannot change the color of vehicles. Accordingly, no competitions or championships take place here either.
