Ganryu 2 is the sequel to Ganryu 1. Miyamoto Musashi defeats Sasaki Kojiro and travels north to Hokkaido, where he meditates and recovers from his duel. One day, a tranced samurai hears the words of the spirit of Kojiro, which contain veiled threats and a desire for revenge. A voice told Musashi to come out to a decisive battle and cross swords or the whole country would suffer. Miyamoto realized that he should continue his journey to Ganryujima Island to finally defeat the spirit of a prominent Edo-era swordsman and samurai.

In Ganryu 2, the protagonist not only travels through Japan, but through four different seasons. The battlefield with enemies will be medieval settlements, forests, remains of glorious cities, temples, caves and tunnels. The main character jumps on walls, jumps over chasms and traps, rides in wagons and hacks the enemy in different places. There are also loads of bonus prizes placed in the levels. The character gradually gains more experience and skills, gathers strength for the final battle, activates the kami. You can use a sword or throw kunai for battle.
