Players in Facteroids will build a factory to mine minerals deep in space. You need to get to one of the asteroids in a spaceship to start mining materials from scratch. Players begin building production chains by taking turns creating different structures and installing equipment on the surface of a small planet. Explore the bare rock where they need to deploy automated bots and send them to work.

Project Facteroids is a three-dimensional simulation with real-time strategy elements in which you have to complete level goals. The main task is to explore the area, conduct excavations and extract resources that can be processed through complex factory and production lines that form the basis of structures. Players can place buildings as they please and figure out the intricacies and connections of production chains.

When entering an empty asteroid, players must:

• Distribute instructions for machines waiting for materials and energy in factories.
• Build conveyor belts, pipes and power lines.
• Trade goods as needed to improve the colony’s and base’s infrastructure.
• Go through single player campaign scenarios or venture into procedurally generated sandbox worlds.
• Use the editor to create your own levels or missions.
