Players in DRAINUS are at the controls of a Drainus fighter that can absorb energy projectiles and destroy enemy ships. The game is made in scrolling shooter genre where users have to move through space with flying spaceships and eliminate their enemies. The challenge for players in DRAINUS is to move and save the planet Hulpax, suffering from the oppressive rule of the Harlal Empire. During the game, players watch anime-style cutscenes.
