DC League of Super-Pets: The Adventures of Krypto and Ace is a scrolling shooter developed for a family audience. As the name suggests, this title is based on the popular comic universe. The video game is dedicated to Ace and Krypto – two dogs who are Batman’s and Superman’s favorite pets. The action takes place in Metropolis. In the story, superhero dogs try to thwart Lex Luthor’s plans. The antagonist tries to kidnap homeless animals and imprison them in his zoo LexCorp. For this he created a battle suit and built an army of Lexbots. Superpets are joined by their friends PB the pig, Merton the turtle and Chip the squirrel to stop the villain. This project was created as part of an advertising campaign before a full-length animated film of the same name hits cinemas. However, the game contains almost no spoilers, since the main focus is not on the story, but on the gameplay.

You can play as both heroes. One dog knows how to use arctic barks and laser glares, while the other relies on batarangs and hits with its own body. Despite the variety of characters, the DC League Superpets: Adventure Crypto and Ace video game is designed for single players only. The gameplay is reminiscent of the rail shooters from the Star Fox series. The chosen hero moves forward alone. The user can move the dog within the screen to avoid obstacles and attack enemies in different ways. A total of 15 main missions, 3 boss fights and several side quests are available. In addition to flying and fighting, there are also animals to rescue, take care of in the animal shelter and help them find new masters. This fun is presented in the form of a mini-game card. It is rewarded with extra skill points for simply pumping.
