Beacon Pines is a story where the player becomes a reader who controls what happens in a mysterious book. There are intentional omissions in some sentences, and subsequent pages are blank. He has to fill in the missing fields and to insert his words directly depends on the fate of the company of friends who are in a difficult situation.

The action takes place in a world of anthropomorphic animals. Out of boredom, the main character picked up an adventure book she had never heard of. The events take place in a small town called Beacon Pines. Reindeer Luka and his friends, a black cat and a squirrel, begin to notice that the environment in the city is changing strangely. As if he was affected by some kind of anomaly, but no one around him pays any attention. To make sense of a series of mysterious events, they launch their own dangerous investigation that could cost them big bucks. The teens go out at night so their parents won’t notice their absence and pull together all the strings that lead them to the trail of a secret laboratory.

The possible endings in Beacon Pines are numerous, leaving you with adventure choices on almost every page of the book. Only the reader of the interactive story determines what they answer to the bullies, whether they peek into the creepy, rustling bushes and what to do between investigations. Sometimes the decisions may seem insignificant, but they will have a big impact later.
