flight simulator 1942: The Pacific Air War Puts the player in World War II, mainly in the battles between Japan and the United States. The clashes that take place in the Pacific Ocean span the period up to 1945. In the gameplay, the user becomes part of sea, land and air battles.

You can choose sides before the session: USA or Japan. Each level offers different objectives, number of enemies, location, allies and other elements of war. During operations, the player must defend territories, destroy objectives or rid cities of enemies. There is a military campaign including consecutive levels with a pre-start briefing and ongoing missions during encounters. Wargame features match customization and achievement of various objectives.

In story mode, the player can control air forces, naval ships and land bases using a strategic map. The user can sit behind each aircraft and control it from first or third person. The virtual cockpit is a view from the pilot’s eye, and the buttons, levers and controls are faithfully modeled on real vehicles. There are 10 aircraft types, each with original characteristics and armament. Weather conditions affect visibility and other vehicle functions. Abrupt maneuvers will overwhelm the character, causing darkness in the eyes and possible loss of consciousness
